Dr. Maria Laura Mosco holds a Laurea cum Laude from the University of Rome La Sapienza in Modern Languages and literatures (English, German, and Italian), a post graduate-specialization in Literary Translation, and from the University of Toronto, she holds a Master of Arts in Italian Studies and Semiotics, and a PhD in Italian Studies. She has held positions at Queen's University, Wilfrid Laurier University, and Western University, both as Faculty and with administrative roles. She has developed courses with a Community Engaged Learning (CEL) component, and has been awarded the Community Engaged Learning (CEL) Award, and the Faculty of Arts Teaching Excellence Award, both at Western University. She also has extensive experience as a Communications Manager in the scholarly field.
